Adult ADHD Assessor
Conduct comprehensive adult ADHD assessments in line with NICE guidance — fully remote, working as flexibly as suits you.
- Complete structured assessments using DIVA-5, QbTest & DSM-5
- Carry out thorough clinical evaluation and documentation
- Set your own availability, up to 7 days a week
- RMN / RNLD, Registered Nurse or Pharmacist with current NMC registration
- Proven adult ADHD assessment experience
- Up-to-date supervision & appropriate indemnity
Consultant Psychiatrist
Provide specialist oversight and advice for selected complex ADHD cases — not routine assessments — and help shape our clinical governance as we grow.
- Review selected assessments and advise on complex or uncertain cases
- Advise on complex medication plans and safe prescribing
- Support governance, policies, and quality improvement
- GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Specialist Registration in General Adult Psychiatry
- Significant adult ADHD experience & NICE knowledge
ADHD Coaches
Help clients turn a diagnosis into everyday change with structured, practical coaching that works alongside — never instead of — their clinical care.
- Deliver structured 1:1 coaching sessions
- Build practical focus, routine and follow-through strategies
- Work within scope — coaches don't diagnose or prescribe
- Recognised ADHD coaching training / qualification
- Coaching experience with adults
- Professional insurance and enhanced DBS
Adult ADHD Assessor (RMN / RNLD)
About the role
Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) with a passion for neurodiversity and a proven track record in ADHD assessment? We're growing our team of Adult ADHD Assessors — an opportunity to make a real difference for adults living with undiagnosed ADHD, while working flexibly and autonomously. This is a fully remote role: set your own hours with availability seven days a week.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive adult ADHD assessments in line with NICE guidelines
- Engage confidently and professionally with adult clients remotely
- Apply structured diagnostic tools including DIVA-5, QbTest and DSM-5 criteria
- Complete thorough clinical evaluations and documentation
- Offer remote assessments based on your availability
Essential requirements
- RMN / RNLD, Registered Nurse or Pharmacist
- Current NMC registration (or GPhC for pharmacists)
- Proven experience conducting adult ADHD assessments
- Skilled with structured diagnostic and clinical assessment tools
- Up to date with clinical supervision, appraisal and revalidation
- Appropriate indemnity insurance for self-employed practice
- Confident, organised and compassionate with neurodiverse adults

About the role
Focus Gently is a newly established, CQC-registered independent clinic providing evidence-based assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adults with ADHD across England. We're a nurse-led multidisciplinary service delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care in line with NICE guidance. As we grow, we're seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to provide clinical oversight and strengthen our governance framework. This is a flexible, remote freelance position focused on specialist advice and oversight for selected cases rather than routine patient assessments.
Responsibilities
- Review selected ADHD diagnostic assessments completed by nurse assessors
- Advise where there is diagnostic uncertainty or complex psychiatric comorbidity
- Review complex medication plans and advise on treatment where appropriate
- Support safe prescribing and clinical decision-making
- Provide written recommendations within the patient's clinical record
- Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities
- Support the development and maintenance of clinical policies and protocols
- Be available for occasional case discussions with the clinical team
Not routinely included
- Conducting standard ADHD assessments
- Routine medication titration appointments
- Routine annual reviews
- Administrative duties
Essential requirements
- GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Specialist Registration in General Adult Psychiatry
- Significant experience assessing and treating adults with ADHD
- Good working knowledge of NICE ADHD guidance
- Appropriate medical indemnity
- Excellent communication and collaborative working skills
