You will recognise yourself here.

These are the reasons people come to us for an assessment. If one of them is yours, you are in the right place.

  • I’ve suspected ADHD for years, but never had it looked at properly.
  • I’m stuck on an NHS waiting list with no end in sight.
  • I was told I’m ‘too high-functioning’ to have ADHD.
  • My child was diagnosed, and it made me look hard at myself.
  • I need a formal report for work, university, or access arrangements.
  • I want answers now, from someone who actually specialises in this.

An assessment gives you a diagnostic answer either way; it cannot guarantee an ADHD diagnosis. Treatment is started only where ADHD is confirmed and medication is clinically appropriate — decided together with you at the time. You receive a full report regardless.

Plain speaking

What an assessment can, and can’t, do.

We can’t promise you a diagnosis. A proper assessment is not a formality — it can confirm ADHD, or it can find that something else better explains what you’re experiencing. Both are genuinely useful answers, and you receive a full report either way.

We won’t rush you through a checklist. A credible diagnosis takes a proper history and a specialist’s judgement, not ten minutes and a score. That is precisely why our report stands up where cheaper ones don’t.

And a report is only as good as it is recognised. Ours is a full clinical assessment in a CQC-registered service, applying the DSM-5 criteria that GPs, employers and universities expect. If you are diagnosed and want to begin treatment, you won’t be left to find a prescriber on your own.

The questions people ask first

Is your assessment properly recognised?

Yes. It is a full clinical diagnostic assessment, carried out by a specialist clinician in a service registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission, applying DSM-5 criteria with the DIVA-5 interview. Your written report is the standard document GPs, employers and universities look for.

If you go on to treatment and want your GP to share your care, we prepare that request properly — though, as with any private provider, the decision to accept shared care rests with your GP.

What actually happens in the assessment?

A structured 60–90 minute remote appointment. Your clinician works through the DIVA-5 diagnostic interview against DSM-5 criteria, takes a full developmental and clinical history, and looks at how symptoms affect you across more than one area of your life. Where it’s helpful and available, collateral information is considered too.

How quickly can I be seen, and get my report?

There is no waiting list — you are usually booked in within [CONFIRM] days of completing the screening, and your written report follows within [CONFIRM] working days of the appointment.

Can I start treatment if I’m diagnosed?

Yes — that is the point of this package. If ADHD is confirmed and medication is clinically appropriate, starting your treatment is included: baseline checks, your first prescription, and the early reviews to settle your dose. From there, ongoing care continues on a simple monthly plan, which we’ll explain clearly before you decide.

What if the assessment doesn’t find ADHD?

You still receive a full written report and a clear explanation of what the assessment found. A thorough assessment that rules ADHD out is a real answer too — and where something else seems to fit better, we’ll point you toward the right next step.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. You can pay for your assessment in full, or spread it over instalments — the total is the same either way.

Do you accept Right to Choose or NHS funding?

[CONFIRM — set your Right to Choose / NHS-funded position here before publishing. If you do not accept it, say so plainly and point to the self-funded route. If you do, explain how to start.]

No cost, no obligation

Not sure if an assessment is right? Ask first.

If you’re weighing up whether to go ahead, don’t guess. Fifteen minutes, by phone or video, with one of our clinicians. Talk through what you’ve noticed, ask anything on your mind, and get a straight view on whether a full assessment is the sensible next step for you.

  • Talk through the traits and difficulties you’ve been noticing
  • Understand exactly what the assessment involves and covers
  • Ask about reports, timescales, treatment, or shared care
  • And if an assessment isn’t right for you, we’ll tell you so
